Moelfre,
Anglesey Introduction | Photo Gallery | Video | Availability Introduction Moelfre Lifeboat Day 2011 took place on 20th August. The day started bright and fairly sunny, but the clouds started appearing slightly earlier than forecast and for the launch and much of the display there was light or steady rain and visibility was less than ideal. In spite of this, the crowds enjoyed the display from the crew on the all weather lifeboat and the two inshore boats as well as the visiting RAF rescue helicopter. Thank you to all of involved in the organisation of the event for your hard work leading to another successful day. I read on the Moelfre Lifeboat Day Facebook page within a few days of the event that £8,400 had already been raised for the Lifeboat Station. January 2012: Congratulations to the organisers of Moelfre Lifeboat Day, well deserved winners of the 'Best Event of the Year' in the Anglesey Tourism Awards 2012 for the 2011 event. They went one better than the year before. The awards took place at a ceremony on 27th January. Photo Gallery Click on any of the images to see a larger version. The larger photos are all 720x480 pixels and have been cropped and significantly reduced from the originals. The originals were shot on a DSLR camera at 15 megapixels. Most of the shots of the launch and display were taken through drizzle or heavier rain. In the Village The Launch On The Water The Inshore Rescue Boat RAF Helicopter and Air-Sea
